Bourgognes: where are you?? 09/02/2015

Wines from Burgundy (mostly the reds) tend to become more & more rare and thus expensive. Many “new markets” turn their backs on Bordeaux wines and discover the richness and delicacy of nice Burgundy wines, this explaining that. When the opportunity arises, Mig’s hunts out nice bottles from his suppliers - or elsewhere if necessary. It is the case this week: we have found two great references at auction. Do note that as usual stocks are limited, of course!

  1. Domaine Thierry Mortet Chambolle-Musigny 1er cru Les Beaux Bruns 2000 : 70.00€
  2. Domaine Jacques Girardin Pommard Tête de Cuvée 2005: 40.00 €

This Saturday we’ll offer a tasting of the new vintages of the very elegant whites from the Bret Brothers as well as their Fleurie. All is not lost!
