A Japanese whisky? Yes, but not anyone: Kaiyo produces elegant whiskies aged in Mizunara oak, a rare and sought-after Japanese oak. This specific barrel-aging gives characteristic spicy and sandalwood aromas to the whisky. And to enhance the exchange between wood and whisky, the barrels travel by boat to Scotland where the whisky is then bottled.
