Dear wines and spirits lovers of the world,

Merlot takes centre stage this autumn Saturday, with three different expressions of one of the world's most widely planted grapes!

Domaine Longariva, Tovi Merlot, Trentino-Alto Adige, Italy: A powerful wine from Northern Italy aged in barrel for 18-24 months. The tannins are generous and the finish full and long.

Columbia Crest, H3 Merlot, Columbia Valley, USA: This Merlot from Washington state is aged for 15 months in French and American oak. It is round, earthy and marked by wood and spice with notes of black fruit and cocoa.

Château Clos Mansio, Côtes de Blaye, Bordeaux, France: A blend of 70% Merlot and 30% Malbec that is full-bodied and tasty. This Merlot-dominated cuvée is well-balanced with black fruit, smoky and woody notes.

As usual, these wines will be available for tasting from 2pm to 5pm this Saturday.
