You all probably know by now that « Georgia is the cradle of vines and of wine-making »! Viticulture finds its sources in South Caucasus, where wild grape juice was turned into wine- haphazardly at first, and then from experience. Telavi is one of the best producing regions, and Saperavi the most important traditional grape variety. Our importer from the Telavi Wine Cellars -Eric Scheerlinck, will be present at our shop this Saturday 11 October for you to sample some of their wines. Not to be missed! See you then. Cheers!
PS: Elle magazine of September 8 has Mig's down as one of the top wine shops! Thanks to Bernard Dobbeleer!

Is there too much wine in the world? Maybe... In any case, we can offer you a special promotion on the Thomas Mitchell range of wines from Mitchelton: minus 10% on the usual price. The cab/shiraz and chardonnay will be part of this Saturday's tasting. Take advantage of this special price on cheerful everyday wines!

Also, a well awaited for novelty, a varietal that's often asked for here at the shop: the albariño. It produces a crisp and cool white wine that gives great results on both sides of the Spanish-Portuguese border. We have a new Spanish one at Mig's, also to be tasted this Saturday. A good accompaniment to your fish dishes, aperitifs , salads...etc

And to top it all, a little 'one-shot' to be discovered: a cabernet sauvignon from Chile: the Luna Clara.

Cheers!
