Oldies & New wines from Frank Matthys 21/03/2011
Our main supplier Frank Matthys is always full of surprises. This Saturday we'll taste two of his Aussie white wines: an unoaked chardonnay and a verdelho. We've had them both for a while, and it's always nice to be reminded of good stuff! And we'll introduce two new red wines: one from Southern France, a cheap & cheerful bag-full-of-fruit, Little James' Basket! It's made from a blend of different vintages, which is quite unusual, and is thus out of any appellation. And we'll finish with a top red from Southern Italy, made from the Aglianico grape, typical from that part of the world.
