Last week, we talked about wine and food pairing, which is not always an easy task. So what about cocktail and food pairing? Sounds weird? Yes, but it’s often done in the States. Mig, just back from the big apple, tasted a great citrusy cocktail with oysters at the Dead Rabbit bar (World’s Best Bar according to „The World’s 50 Best Bars“ 2017 awards).
Brussels is catching up! A few weeks back, Patrick experienced a full menu paired with cocktails during the Brussels Cocktail Week at the Yi Chan restaurant (Rue Jules Van Praet 13, 1000 Bruxelles, https://www.facebook.com/yichanbrussels). While they may not repeat this experience every day, try them out. They have amazing cocktails and great Asian food (and the selection of spirits is pretty amazing too!).
So this Saturday’s tasting is a favourite of Yi Chan’s bar team: an excellent artisanal unaged tequila from Arette.
